What's Been Happening: July 2017
Welcome to our first blog post! These will be released monthly and are a great opportunity for all our wonderful supporters to stay up to date with everything that's going on in the Xcel Project. As always we've been very busy - so lets get started...
Everyone is enjoying Xcel Bowl's new look! New colourful lighting and seating for our bowling lanes were installed at the end of June. Fun jungle themed pieces for little explorers in our soft area were also added. The whole place is looking shiny and new!
We've also been out and about at Carmarthen River Festival and Llandovery Motorbike Weekend with our portable bowling alley to let everyone know about the project. We even entered a raft at Carmarthen River Festival to raise money for Carmarthen Foodbank and we won! Thank you so much to Phillip Southerland for donating his raft and gathering a crew of pirates to man the the ship!
It's still not too late to sponsor Carmarthen Foodbank's ship. Go to our Just Giving Page at: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/kirsty-loftus
A big thanks to Bro Myrddin Housing Association who had a dress down day this month raising over £200 for Carmarthen Foodbank. These cash donations to Carmarthen Foodbank are great as they allow us to buy in specific items which we sometimes run low on.
Finally, we've launched a full set of new websites (including this one!). These new websites will make it easier to explore everything the Xcel Project does. A big thanks to Emyr Jones for all the work he put into the Welsh translations. Please have an explore of the new websites - we would love to know what you think!
Hope you all have a fantastic month,
The Xcel Team :)
