Awst 2017

Efallai bod y glaw wedi effeithio ar eich haf, ond mae wedi bod yn wych i fusnes gyda ni yma ym Mowlio Xcel wrth i blant lleol a theuluoedd ar eu gwyliau dyrru i brif adnodd dan do Sir Gar!

Mae Prosiect Xcel hefyd wedi bod yn y newyddion dros y mis:

Ymddangosodd datganiad i’r wasg gan Fanc Bwyd Caerfyrddin yn y Journal yn ystod y mis. Nod y datganiad oedd codi ymwybyddiaeth am y cynnydd yn y nifer o deuluoedd sy’n gwneud defnydd o’r Banc Bwyd dros wyliau’r haf. Os edrychwch yn ofalus gallwch weld ambell i wyneb cyfarwydd (megis yr enwog Mr a Mrs Griffiths, a Judy Pawluk, Rheolwr y Banc Bwyd.

Tro Celfi Xcel oedd hi wedyn i ymddangos yn y Journal, yn dangos y fan newydd. Diolch o galon i ‘EasyBooks’ a’i Rheolwr Gyfarwyddwr Nicola Lewis am noddi’r fan, ac am ganiatáu i ni roi ei llun yn y papur.

Mae’n dymor gwobrwyo. Rydym wedi bod ar restr fer nifer o wobrwyon eleni! Roeddem yn rownd derfynol gwobrau ‘Best of Britain’, ac rydym hefyd wedi cyrraedd rownd derfynol dau gategori yng Ngwobrau Busnesau Cymdeithasol Cymru 2017:  ‘Menter Gymdeithasol y Flwyddyn’, a ‘Menter Gymdeithasol o Blaid Defnyddwyr’. Dymunwch bob lwc i ni!

August 2017

The rain may have put a dampener on your Summer but it's been great for business at Xcel Bowl as local school children and holiday makers alike rush to Carmarthenshire's top all-weather activity!

The Xcel Project has also been making headlines over the last month:

Carmarthen Foodbank's press release to raise awareness about the rise in the number of families using the Foodbank over the summer holidays appeared in the Carmarthen Journal this month. If you look carefully you might see some familiar faces (The infamous Mr and Mrs Griffiths and our lovely Foodbank Manager, Judy Pawluk).

It was Xcel Furniture's turn next as they were featured in the Carmarthen Journal to show off their new van. A massive thank you to EasyBooks and their managing director Nicola Lewis for sponsoring the van and allowing us to take her picture for the paper!

It's award season! And we've been shortlisted for a number of different awards this year! We were finalists in the Best of Britain Awards and have been shortlisted as finalists for two categories in the  Social Business Wales Awards 2017: Social Enterprise of the Year and Consumer Facing Social Enterprise. Wish us luck!
